About Us

What sets us apart?

We are a lessons only facility.

We’re here to foster a passion and growth in music. In order to achieve that goal, we don’t have a retail store in our lesson facility. Our teachers are here to do one thing: deliver personalized and professional music instruction. A retail component only distracts from the goal.

We believe in performance.

The Jackson Massillon School of Music holds two student recitals per year, once during the holiday season and then at the end of the academic school year. Students are highly encouraged to demonstrate their hard work in front of their family, friends, and peers.

We believe in giving back.

The Jackson Massillon School of Music believes in giving back to the community that supports us. Each of our teachers provides one pro bono spot on their schedule reserved for a student in need that demonstrates academic success and financial need.

From the Director

We are so excited to be open here in Jackson Township, and even more excited to share our passion for music with this supportive community. Our teachers are among the most sought after instructors and performers in North East Ohio, all of who have studied music on the university level. Some of our instructors are also on the music faculty in the regional school systems. In addition to supporting local charities, we feel it is even more important to directly give to our community by offering scholarships to students that demonstrate high academic success as well as demonstrate financial need. Come and visit us, to see first hand what makes the Jackson Massillon School of Music the premier music instruction studio in Stark County.

Our Facility

I was a student of Daniels for a little over 5 years. In that time, not only did I learn a style of music I didn’t even know existed, but his teachings help foster a passion for music that will be with me for the rest of my life. The music education I received was very personalized, and gave me the skills to pursue any genre of music I want. I highly recommend Daniel Silverman. His passion for music shows through his teachings.

My son has taken lessons from Daniel at the music school and at our home. He now gives concerts at all our family gatherings and has become quite the performer. As I listened to the lessons from outside the room I heard more than just a professional music lesson. I heard a love and a passion for music being transferred from teacher to student. I also heard a lot of laughter. And now we hear that passion and love every time my son plays his guitar. Obviously I would highly recommend the Jackson Massillon School of Music.

Our son took guitar lessons from Daniel, initially electric then acoustic, and I credit Daniel for getting him to stick to it long enough to actually learn. He has a great sense of humor, which really helps when working with young people. We have enjoyed attending several of Daniel’s own recitals and his style is what our son strives to emulate. I can’t think of a better person to open a school of music.
