About Us

We are a lessons only facility.

We’re here to foster a passion and growth in music. In order to achieve that goal, we don’t have a retail store in our lesson facilities. Our teachers are here to do one thing: deliver personalized and professional music instruction. A retail component only distracts from the goal.

We believe in performance.

At Opus 144 Schools of Music, We hold two student recitals per year, once during the holiday season and then at the end of the academic school year. Students are highly encouraged to demonstrate their hard work in front of their family, friends, and peers.

We believe in giving back.

At Opus 144 Schools of Music, We believe in giving back to the community that supports us. Each of our teachers provides one pro bono spot on their schedule reserved for a student in need that demonstrates academic success and financial need.

From the Director

We are so excited to be open here in Jackson Township, and even more excited to share our passion for music with this supportive community. Our teachers are among the most sought after instructors and performers in North East Ohio, all of who have studied music on the university level. Some of our instructors are also on the music faculty in the regional school systems. In addition to supporting local charities, we feel it is even more important to directly give to our community by offering scholarships to students that demonstrate high academic success as well as demonstrate financial need. Come and visit us, to see first hand what makes the Jackson Massillon School of Music the premier music instruction studio in Stark County.

Testimonials

  • review rating 5  My son takes piano lessons from Mackenzie and has done fantastic. He has really flourished with Mackenzie as his instructor. He is always excited to run home and practice what he had learned in that lesson. I would highly reccomend them for a child who is interested in learning an instrument. They offer a free lesson to see if it may be something your child would like before signing up.

  • review rating 5  My son takes piano lessons from Mackenzie. I can tell that she builds a great rapport with all her little musicians. This is great because it’s important to help create/foster and instill the love of music with our kiddos early in life! Thank you Makenzie!

  • review rating 5  We have had a great experience at Jackson School of Music! The music room, where students not in lessons can explore and play, was a hit with my daughters! Seth was patient and encouraging with my first grade son during piano lessons.

review rating 5  Daniel and Kierstin are a great couple who have brought a fantastic asset to the community. Reasonably priced and solidly easy to work with regarding scheduling and specific lesson focus, they truly care about your child progressing and succeeding. We did trumpet for a while and Kierstin did a great job keeping a less-than-enthusiastic student progressing!

  • review rating 5  My son has taken lessons from Daniel at the music school and at are home. He now gives concerts at all our family gatherings and has become quite the performer. As I listened to the lessons from outside the room I heard more than just a professional music lesson. I heard a love and a passion for music being transferred from teacher to student. I also heard a lot of laughter. And now we hear that passion and love every time my son plays his guitar. Obviously I would highly recommend the Jackson Massillon School of Music.
