Guitar Lessons for Young Children

For young children that want to learn to play the guitar, we strongly encourage families to consider starting their young children out on the Ukulele.  The Ukulele has less strings and a considerably smaller size that makes this instrument much better suited for the young beginner. Children are such amazing learners and they soak up so much information quickly.

Starting your child off early with guitar lessons is a great decision. The Jackson Massillon School of Music offers guitar lessons for children that includes theory, history, and extracurricular options that we believe helps them develop into well-rounded, complete musicians.

Learning an instrument at a developing stage has been proven to have strong connections to better grades and higher test scores.  In addition music lessons for children help strengthen their language development, reading level, mathematical and problem-solving skills.

Exposing your little grown ups to the complexity of music early provides a heightened enjoyment of many styles of music and fosters intellectual creativity. Parental support is crucial to student progress, and parents are encouraged to sit in on lessons and to be actively involved in the practice process.
